| Experience: Spring 2009 - Winter 2010
So far, we have worked at 17 different stables, and have many repeat customers. We have provided services for owners for everything from a 'noon visit' to full farm sitting for over a week.
Some of the times we have covered have included:
- vacation
- business travel
- horse shows and sales
- exams for a university student
- owner illness
- noon visits when the owners are at work during the day
- night visits when the owners are out for the evening
We have taken care of between 2 -> 25 horses, and these horses have ranged from:
- minis to draft horses (and donkeys!)
- pleasure, performance and race horses
- weanlings to seniors
In December 2009, I earned an "A" for completing the University of Guelph course "Management of the Equine Environment". This course provides practical information needed to ensure a safe and healthy environment for horses,
through effective and responsible management techniques. I also volunteer for Equine Guelph in programs at the Royal, Can Am etc.
